Ozil appears to confirm Arsenal stay after buying £10m London home

Mesut Ozil appears to have confirmed he sees his future with Arsenal after splashing out £10 million on a new family home in north London.

Ozil is known to be in talks with Arsenal over a new contract but speculation has been rife that the German international could potentially move to Manchester United or another of Europe’s top clubs, rather than signing on the dotted line.

The 28-year-old has however seemingly revealed he will be staying at the Gunners for the long run with the Sun reporting that he has paid out £10m on a new, three-storey home in Highgate for his family.

Players tend to rent properties while still playing so for Ozil to buy a house near his current club is a big indication that he sees the best years of his career at the Emirates.

The home is not far from Arsenal’s training ground, per the report, and comes with six beds as well as a cinema and a wine cellar.
