Lineker Explains Salah Theory As Liverpool Concern Emerges

Gary Lineker has given an explanation on his concern about Mohamed Salah’s recent Liverpool form.

The Reds have lost in the FA Cup, Europa League, and Premier League in recent weeks, which has affected their form. Liverpool lost to Everton 2-0 on Wednesday night in the Merseyside derby, falling behind Manchester City and Arsenal in the race for the title.

Salah’s form has been under scrutiny since his injury return in recent months. The Egyptian’s recovery from a fitness issue caused him to miss over two months of Liverpool’s season earlier this year.

Since then, he has returned to the pitch, appearing in the last 12 games in all competitions. Salah has received criticism for his play since he has scored four goals with no assist during that time.

According to Liverpool Echo, Lineker, though, is unconcerned about Salah’s performance in front of goal despite the criticism. The former striker for Leicester City and Everton gave an explanation of the possible causes of Salah’s recent goal-scoring success. And the 63-year-old gave his prediction that the Liverpool star will soon revert to his peak form.

“I suspect there’s nothing wrong in the mind of Mo Salah, he’s just having one of those little spells that all strikers have,” said Lineker on The Two Robbies podcast.
