Jose Mourinho Real madrid manager has defended Arsenal and believes that nothing should be learned from Mikel Arteta’s team’s performance last season.
Last season, Arsenal won the Premier League for the first time since 2004.
The north London team made it to the Champions League final as well, but Paris Saint-Germain prevailed on penalties.
Arsenal has always been linked to fantastic, offensive, and free-flowing football, and the famous Arsene Wenger gained praise from all across the world for shaping the Gunners in his own image.

However, Arsenal’s performance under manager Mikel Arteta was criticized last season.
Rival supporters made fun of Arsenal for being a set-piece side, but the supporters of Emirates Stadium were fine with the Gunners’ victory.
Arsenal’s victory does not bother Mourinho, who has returned to Real Madrid for the second time in his managerial career.
Many people view the former manager of Chelsea and Manchester United as a defensive coach.
Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho defends Arsenal
“The style, the approach of your teams at times was part of why people said you were anti-Barca,” Mourinho was asked during the lengthy interview with Vanity Fair. Additionally, Mikel Arteta’s tactics at Arsenal this season were criticized for being overly defensive and, in the worst sense, “anti-football.” Did you recall what was said about your championship-winning clubs when you watched the analysis this year? Arsenal went on to win the league.
“No, not at all,” was Mourinho’s response.
The ridiculous idea that “you can be great without winning” existed both now and in the past.
“That [stylistic critique] bothers me. I disagree with that.
“I believe that people strive to be the best members of your team in order to win.
Regarding Arsenal, I think they most likely wouldn’t succeed if they were to emulate Man City.
Thus, they prevailed. The winners must be respected.
“With regard to Arsenal, this is what I do, but no, no, I don’t look back or compare ourselves to them.
“Because the Inter team that won the Champions League ultimately defeated Barcelona 3-1 a week prior to that legendary defensive meeting in which we played with ten men for over an hour.
Additionally, nobody talks about winning 3-1 versus Barcelona after scoring three goals.
