Barcelona have no intention of engaging in a public verbal spat with Atletico Madrid amid CEO Miguel Angel Gil Marin’s recent remarks about the Julian Alvarez transfer report.
Tensions between the two teams have sharply increased in recent days after the Rojiblancos accused Barcelona of negotiating with a player under contract.
Even Atletico have stated that they intend to report the issue to FIFA, but AS claims that Barcelona’s response has been very different.
According to Barca Universal, the Catalan giants have opted to stick to their plan rather than publicly react as they continue to work on a possible deal for Alvarez, who is still one of the club’s top objectives in the summer transfer market.

Angel Gil Marin launched a fierce attack on the Blaugrana, starting the most recent chapter in the Barcelona-Julian Alvarez transfer story.
The Atletico Madrid chief questioned Barcelona’s conduct and accused them of disrespecting his club during the continuous rumours around the Argentine striker.
“Barcelona disrespects us; they think they can belittle us, that we are weak or stupid.
“But what they are really showing the world is a way of acting that defines them,” he said.
Alvarez Remains Barcelona’s Top Priority
Barcelona’s stance on the Argentine forward remains unchanged despite the ongoing public controversy.
Alvarez continues to be one of the most sought-after names on the team’s shortlist as Hansi Flick tries to bolster his attacking alternatives in the wake of Robert Lewandowski.
Barcelona are aware that any deal for the attacker from Atletico will be complicated because the club have said he is not for sale and the player is under contract until 2030.
