Europa League Kings Sevilla Eyeing Semis Against Manchester United

Spanish club Sevilla are vying to reach the UEFA Europa League semifinal against English Premier League side Manchester United.

After securing a draw in the first leg at Old Trafford by scoring twice in the last 6 minutes, Sevilla hope to push onward for their seventh title in the second-leg game to be held Thursday at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan.

Currently the competition’s most successful team, Sevilla will not be fielding their right-back Gonzalo Montiel. He is suspended for the upcoming game, as is United’s Portuguese midfielder Bruno Fernandes.

Red-Devils winger Marcus Rashford’s injury, who currently shares the top scorer mantle with six goals, surely will not help Manchester United’s chances to reach the semifinals.

Other injured players for the Red-Devils are Lisandro Martinez, Raphael Varane, Luke Shaw, Marcel Sabitzer, Scott McTominay and Alejandro Garnacho.

Manchester United bagged their only UEFA Europa League title so far in 2017, under the helm of Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho.

All quarterfinal second-leg games will be held on Thursday.
