Chelsea Ponder On Swap Deal With Crystal Palace’s Star

Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Crystal Palace midfielder, Michael Olise. And are considering a swap deal involving a youngster in a cut-price deal.

Instead of triggering Michael Olise’s rumored £35 million release clause, Chelsea may believe they can negotiate a lower price for him this summer.

Recently, the winger has been linked to a transfer to Stamford Bridge. And the player is reportedly eager to leave his current club and dedicate his future to a different endeavor.

Chelsea are currently concentrating on incoming players. Because Mauricio Pochettino is happy with how he has trimmed his squad. The Blues are actively seeking out new forwards. And a guy who can play both the right wing and the number 10 position is ideal.

Ajax’s Mohammed Kudus has piqued interest. But other possibilities are also being considered.

The Blues have made an initial offer of £39 million for Palace attacker Olise, according to RMC Sport. But it’s unclear whether that will be sufficient to get the Eagles to start talks with their Premier League rivals.

As a result, Chelsea may need to entice Palace into negotiations by promising to help them make their own acquisitions. As Pochettino would likely still want to let more players depart.

The success of Conor Gallagher’s previous loan spell might be a wonderful starting point for discussions. And the Blues have a number of young players who could thrive on loan at Selhurst Park.

Playing consistently in the Premier League could speed up the growth of Carney Chukwuemeka, Lewis Hall, Cesare Casadei, and Diego Moreira. Palace may also believe that having a few young, energetic players in their team will be beneficial.
