Marcus Rashford is reportedly being strongly pursued by Barcelona, but the deal is currently at a crucial point because of Manchester United’s strong demands.
Barcelona and Rashford have already come to a comprehensive personal terms deal, according to Fabrizio Romano as reported by Barca Universal.
Even without assurances that he would be a regular starter, the England international is open to staying at Camp Nou and is prepared to battle for his spot.
His level of dedication has made him a desirable choice for the Catalan team, particularly as they want to bolster their attacking depth in preparation for the upcoming campaign.
What Is The Issue?
Negotiations between the two clubs, however, present the true challenge.
United have stated unequivocally that if they wish to finalize the deal permanently, they anticipate Barcelona exercising the €30 million buy option.
The Premier League giants are willing to either reintegrate Rashford into their squad or look into other transfer alternatives if their valuation is not fulfilled, therefore there is currently little room for flexibility.
However, given the current financial situation, Barca are unwilling to commit to that amount.

Rather, they are looking into different arrangements that would make the transaction easier to handle.
Restructuring the agreement into a different loan contract, possibly with updated conditions or a purchase obligation at a later time, is one of the primary proposals being examined internally.
This approach would enable Barcelona to sign the player while upholding La Liga’s stringent rules and preserving financial stability.
Despite these efforts, there hasn’t been much progress in the negotiations thus far because United are adamant about their valuation and are not allowing for new ideas.
