Man City Suffer Injury Blow As Star Ruled Out Of Arsenal Clash

Ruben Dias is reportedly set to remain on the sidelines for Manchester City against Arsenal due to his inability to heal from an ankle injury.

The top two will square off in a crucial title match at the Etihad on Sunday afternoon.

The two teams are six points apart in the standings, and according to the Mirror, Dias won’t be playing for City because he hasn’t recovered from the ankle injury he sustained last month and isn’t expected to play again this month.

Pep Guardiola is anticipated to provide an update on the defender when he addresses the media on Friday afternoon.

Nathan Ake and Abdukodir Khusanov paired together against Arsenal in the League Cup final at Wembley.

Ake was replaced by Marc Guehi for the Liverpool and Chelsea games. Guardiola will probably use those two once again, but as City try to take the lead in the championship battle, he needs to consider things through.

With Dias joining Josko Gvardiol on the sidelines and concerns about John Stones’ fitness the Sky Blues may only have three senior centre backs for two games in the next four days that could decide their season.

Man City Closing In On Arsenal

After losing the Carabao Cup final, Arsenal were shockingly eliminated from the FA Cup by Championship team Southampton, and then they suffered a Premier League home loss to Bournemouth, which has made room for their closest rivals.

City will top the standings for the first time in months if they defeat Arsenal at the Etihad on Sunday and also claim a victory on their travel to Burnley on Wednesday.
