A jury at Woolwich Crown Court heard claims involving four boys during the 2010s while he was working in coaching roles.
Prosecutors allege he used trust and authority linked to coaching to behave inappropriately towards those under his supervision.
Court hears details of Allegations
The prosecution stated one complainant felt pressured during an encounter, describing fear and discomfort during the alleged incident involving the defendant.
Other claims included inappropriate conduct disguised as part of coaching or treatment, according to the prosecution’s opening statements in court.
The court was told earlier police investigations initially resulted in no charges before further complaints led to a renewed inquiry, reports Daily Star.
Additional statements were later gathered by the Metropolitan Police, forming the basis of the current case being heard.
Defendant denies all accusations
Parkinson strongly denies all allegations, stating in a police interview that claims were false and intended to damage his career.
His defence argues the accusations are malicious and lack credibility, urging the jury to carefully assess the evidence presented.
The trial continues as both prosecution and defence present their arguments, with a verdict yet to be reached by the jury.
