Arsenal Receive Massive Boost As Striker Target Rules Out Saudi Move

Benjamin Sesko’s desire to remain in Europe this summer, despite Saudi Arabia’s interest, has given Arsenal a boost.

After scoring 13 goals in the Bundesliga the previous season, Sesko is anticipated to leave during the next transfer window.

Arsenal have had discussions with RB Leipzig about the 22-year-old, who is one of their striker targets.

Following their failure to qualify for the Champions League, the German team are willing to part with their star striker in the hopes of obtaining a fee of around £70 million.

Saudi Arabia have also expressed interest in Sesko, and it is believed that two Saudi clubs have approached him in the last month.

However according to The Evening Standard, if the striker decides to leave Leipzig this summer, his main objective will be to continue playing in Europe.

Arsenal will benefit from Sesko’s position if they decide to formally express their interest with a bid, and it will also please Matjaz Kek, the striker’s international manager.

If Sesko departs Leipzig this summer, the Slovenian manager has urged him not make the journey to Saudi Arabia.

“At his age, he shouldn’t go! If someone from there is interested, it’s a form of recognition,” Kek is quoted as saying by Slovenian news outlet Nogomania.
