Arsenal Transfer Target Sane Reaches Verbal Agreement With New Club

Leroy Sane has reportedly reached a verbal agreement with Galatasaray as he sets to snub a return to the Premier League.

When the former Manchester City winger decided to leave Bayern Munich as a free agent earlier this month, it set off a transfer frenzy.

After receiving numerous bids, Sane is reportedly close to agreeing to a multi-year contract valued between £8.47 million and £10.16 million, according to Sky Germany as reported by The Metro.

Pini Zahavi, the 29-year-old’s agent, had been in negotiations with many elite European teams, including Tottenham and Arsenal.

Mikel Arteta, who worked with Sane at City, is apparently eager to get back together and is determined to strengthen his forward line this summer.

Spurs were also said to have shown a great deal of interest, and Al-Hilal had surfaced as suitors in recent days.

However, Sane is about to sign with the Turkish powerhouses, effectively ending his five-year stint at the Allianz Arena.

Although Bayern were eager to reach a new agreement with Sane, they were unwilling to alter their pay scale in order to do so.

Sane has made up his mind and will depart before Bayern leave for the FIFA Club World Cup in America.

Arsenal will not focus on completing a deal to sign Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig after missing out on Sane.

Since Arsenal struggled in that area last season due to injuries that forced Arteta to use Mikel Merino as a substitute striker, finding a new center forward is viewed as a top priority.
