Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly ‘opened talks’ with the representatives of Barcelona attacker, Raphinha, who has been touted with a move to Liverpool recently.
The Catalans may have to part ways with a number of players this summer in order to balance the books because they are still facing serious financial difficulties.
Raphinha has been linked to leaving Camp Nou for some time. And he is being pursued by a number of Premier League sides.
For £55 million in 2022, the gifted 27-year-old left Leeds United to join Barcelona. He has made 70 appearances for the Spanish powerhouses thus far, contributing 19 assists and 14 goals.
Following their disappointment at losing out on Club Brugge’s Antonio Nusa last month, Tottenham will try to sign a new winger in the summer.
Spurs appear prepared to challenge Liverpool for Raphinha’s signature at this point.
According to reports originating from Spain as cited by TeamTalk, Spurs have “opened talks with Raphinha’s agents about a potential switch from Barcelona in the summer”.
According to prior reports of the publication, should Mohamed Salah depart for Saudi Arabia at the end of the current campaign, Raphinha is seen as his possible replacement.
The Brazil international is reportedly “happy” with the Catalans, but financial constraints may “force” them to sell him.
