Tottenham Look Well Placed To Secure Transfer Target

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly increased their pace in the race to sign Genoa star, Albert Gudmundsson in the summer transfer window.

According to Tuttosport as reported by Sport Witness, the discussion about Spurs’ interest in the forward continues to intensify. This season, the 26-year-old has been a standout for the Serie A team, tallying 15 goals and four assists in 32 games.

In addition Tuttosport highlighted that Juventus have registered an interest in signing the 26-year-old. This will spell bad news for Tottenham as the Old Lady will present competition for them in the summer.

The Bianconeri have tested the waters with the Icelandic international agents, Gabriele and Valerio Giuffrida.
Although the report claims he isn’t drawn to the idea of relocating to the San Siro, as Inter Milan also adore him.

As a result, the game is open and Ange Postecoglou’s side and the Turin club remain contenders. The two teams are rumored to have “sat down at the table” to talk about a possible deal for Gudmundsson.

Tuttosport claims that one player who might be included in the deal is Enzo Barrenechea, a player from Juventus who is currently on loan at Frosinone.

Oscar Damiani, Gudmundsson’s agent, says the player will not end up at Inter. Speaking to TMW Radio, Damiani goes on to say that the attacker might decide to move to England rather than sign with another Italian team.

This suggests that Tottenham will have a good chance of signing the player this summer.
