“Too Talkative”- Neymar Fires Back At Comments From Ex- PSG Teammate

Paris Saint-Germain ace Neymar has hit back at former teammate Thomas Meunier’s criticism of his declining performances, terming the Belgian “too talkative.”

On Sunday (July 24), Meunier revealed that he was a “huge fan” of the Brazilian when he joined Parc des Princes in a world record deal from Barcelona in 2017, but believes his former teammate’s level has dipped since then and lost the “magic” that marked him unique.

Neymar responded swiftly to his former teammate, calling him a “talkative” and adding a laughing emoji to imply he may not have taken Meunier’s comments to heart.

“Too talkative this boy,” the Brazilian said, as translated by Canal supporters.

It’s unclear whether he added the emoji to lessen the blow, but PSG no. 10 isn’t put off by such trivial remarks. It might be a result of his positive relationship with the Belgian player, with whom he shared three seasons of playing time.

Between 2017 and 2020, the pair won three Ligue 1 titles, three French Cups, and three French League Cups in Paris.

Neymar Thrives In PSG’s Final Preseason Friendly

After putting up impressive goal numbers in the preseason, Neymar appears prepared for the next season under new boss Christophe Galtier.

Neymar scored twice as PSG trounced Gamba Osaka 6-2 on Monday. He had a 72-minute appearance.

Neymar will play Nantes in the Ligue 1 opening match of the Trophée des Champions on Sunday at the Bloomfield Stadium in Tel Aviv.
