Thomas Frank Admits Ivan Toney Sale Is ‘Obvious’ This Summer Amid Interest From Arsenal, Chelsea And Man Utd

In their pursuit of acquiring Brentford star Ivan Toney during the summer transfer window, Manchester United, Chelsea, and Arsenal have received encouragement.

It is “quite obvious,” according to Brentford manager Thomas Frank, that the Bees will sell their striker at the end of the current campaign.

When the transfer window reopens, it is anticipated that Arsenal and Chelsea, who both attempted to sign Toney this month but were unsuccessful in doing so, will give it another shot.

Toney is a player that United is also keeping an eye on, and in the summer, the two London clubs will compete for his signature.

Frank told Danish publication Tipsbladet, “Ivan Toney will probably be sold in the summer. It’s quite obvious.”

Although selling your best player can be costly, I am aware that he will only have one more year remaining on his contract by summer.

We are also aware of his value. I don’t believe there are many strikers in the world that can compete with him at this point.

He is a talented striker who is at the peak of his football career. As a coach, I would personally like to keep Toney, but it could be interesting to watch him play for a premier team in the future.

“We didn’t receive any bids for him this winter, but I wouldn’t be surprised if many clubs were interested in him.”

After serving an eight-month suspension for breaking the Football Association’s betting regulations, Toney returned to duty last month. This season, he has netted two goals in three Premier League games.
