Now facing the Red Devils in their UEFA Champions League opener. It will be fascinating to witness if the England international can have a positive effect against the side that was so eager to sign him.

Ten Hag would undoubtedly have benefited from having a player of Kane’s caliber in his squad. But it is also important to note that the United board had legitimate concerns about the potential cost of the deal.
