Spurs Players Want Conte Out Of The Club Following His Outburst

Following his extraordinary outburst, Antonio Conte might be facing a revolt among Tottenham Hotspur players.

After Spurs let a 3-1 advantage slip and drew 3-3 with Southampton, the Italian manager lost his cool. During his jaw-dropping four and a half minute tirade in the post-match news conference.

Conte lashed out at his team, the Tottenham board, and the club’s culture in general.

Due to the fact that the 53-year-old’s contract expires at the conclusion of the current campaign. His future at the club has been utterly unknown.

However, following the incident, many of his players are allegedly hoping the club’s hierarchy will fire him before then.

Spurs players, according to reports from The Sun, think Conte might be fired before their next Premier League match on April 3 against Everton.

A significant portion of Conte’s team has left the club and joined up with their respective countries for the international break.

This time frame will be crucial if the former Chelsea and Real Madrid boss stays at the club. The irate Italian looked to criticize both club chairman Daniel Levy and Spurs owner Joe Lewis in addition to his players.

What Did Conte Say About His Players?

“They don’t play for something important,” Conte said about his players. “They don’t want to play under pressure, they don’t want to play under stress.

“It is easy this way. Tottenham’s story is this. For 20 years there is the owner but they never won something. But why? The fault is only for the club, or for every manager that stays here?

“I have seen the managers that Tottenham had on the bench. Until now I try to hide the situation but not now because, I repeat, I don’t want to see what I have seen today because this is unacceptable and also un- acceptable for the fans.”

Tottenham Hotspur are already out in all cup competitions this season. And the only way they can salvage their season is by making the top four come the end of the campaign. And ultimately claiming the UEFA Champions League Spot.
