Keane Lambasts United Stars Despite Qualification To The Semis

After Manchester United’s 3-1 FA Cup victory over Fulham, Roy Keane delivered a scathing assessment of the team.

The Red Devils overcame five minutes of chaos from Fulham to advance to the FA Cup semifinals. After a comeback victory at Old Trafford.

Aleksandar Mitrovic gave Fulham a lead in the 50th minute. And they were fully deserving of it. However, with about 20 minutes remaining, things started to fall apart when Marco Silva, Willian, and Mitrovic were all dismissed within a span of 40 seconds.

Following a Fulham corner which was well defended, United launched a quick counter-attack. Jadon Sancho was set up by substitute Antony, who had sprinted down the right flank. He (Sancho) maneuvered around Bernd Leno, but Willian’s hand blocked his attempt on the goal line.

Chris Kavanagh indicated a corner, but VAR Neil Swarbrick sent him to the monitor instead. Stopping just in time for him to dismiss Silva for disrespect.

Willian was eventually given a red card and a penalty to Man United. But Fulham completely lost their composure as Mitrovic yelled at Kavanagh. And he was also sent off for an early shower.

Bruno Fernandes scored a brace – one from the penalty spot. And Marcel Sabitzer scoring between Fernandes’ strikes ensured Erik ten Hag’s men booked a spot in the semi-finals of the FA cup where they would be playing against Brighton.

Despite the win, United Legend, Roy Keane wasn’t impressed with the performance. And that they needed help from their opponent to overcome them.

“The priority was getting into the next round, but I still think the manager will be hugely disappointed with what he saw,” he told ITV Sport.

“Of course, Fulham self-destructed but United were so poor, it was unbelievable.”
