Rodrygo Mocks Barcelona After El Clasico Win And Drake Involvements

In a thoroughly enjoyable game, Real Madrid cruised to a 3-1 El Clasico victory on Sunday afternoon at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Ferran Torres’ goal with ten minutes left was the only serious threat, but just as it looked like the Blaugrana could make a final assault, Rodrygo won and successfully converted a penalty in stoppage time.

The Brazilian has become the youngest player to convert a penalty in El Clasico. After the match he was keen to join the celebrations and even aimed a dig at Barcelona on social media.

Meanwhile, Barcelona’s shirt included Drake’s owl logo on the front as a result of their sponsorship deal with Spotify.

Rodrygo celebrated after the game and posted a photo with the caption “God’s Plan,” a reference to one of Drake’s most well-known songs.

It also continues the curious tale of the ‘Drake curse’. The Canadian rapper has remarkable of history of backing sports teams, with whichever side he supports coming out on the losing side.

Meanwhile, Rodrygo wasn’t the only Real Madrid player to subtly mock Barcelona after the Clasico victory.

Several Madrid players, including Rudiger who was seen dancing in the dressing room after the victory, joined in.

David Alaba also took to Instagram, even tagging the popular rapper to his post. Alaba wrote: “Sorry bro @champagnepapi, @realmadrid was the only way to go. Hala Madrid!”
