Real Madrid Lead Liverpool, Manchester City In Davies’ Transfer

Karim Benzema left Real Madrid for Al Ittihad on a free transfer, but other than that, the team is playing exceptionally well this season. For the Spanish team, Jude Bellingham’s signing has proven to be essential, as the Englishman is now leading the group into a new phase of play.

According to Madrid Universal, it is clear that Carlo Ancelotti is having difficulty with a number of positions on the field. One of them is the center-forward position, and the team also desperately needs right-wingers.

While they may not be as crucial as a new left back, Madrid may also need a center back and a right back. Not surprisingly, they’ve already determined who their main target is—Alphonso Davies—ahead of the summer transfer window of 2024.

In 2025, the Bayern Munich player will become a free agent; it is unlikely that he will sign a contract extension with the German powerhouse. Real Madrid’s interest tempts him, but other teams are now in the running as well.

Chelsea, Manchester City, and Liverpool are interested

The Premier League is reportedly very interested in signing Davies from Bayern in the summer of 2024, with Liverpool, Manchester City, and Chelsea among the teams reportedly eyeing him. This information was reported by 90min. PSG is also monitoring his circumstances.

It will be challenging to persuade the player to change his mind about moving to Real Madrid, according to the quartet and Bayern Munich.

With the board certain they need “killer,” Madrid is expected to target one of Kylian Mbappe or Erling Haaland and spend significant portion of their budget financing move for Davies.

Agent for Davies confirms intense interest

Nedal Huoseh, the agent for Davies, has downplayed the rumors thus far, saying  “Phonzy is at Bayern Munich, that’s where his focus is at.”

At the same time, he verified interest from multiple European clubs.

“There is interest from many teams. I read the same articles on the internet, but in the end we will see what happens in the coming months.”

“I am sure that Real Madrid can be one of the clubs that would like to sign Davies, along with several English Premier League teams. They all want to have one of the best left-backs in the world,” he added.
