Borussia Dortmund defeated Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of their Champions League qualifying match, taking a significant step forward in their campaign.
Though the team could have easily scored a few more goals, the German powerhouses prevailed 1-0 in the home leg at Signal Iduna Park.
The man who was recently utterly shunned by Manchester United, Jadon Sancho, was one of Dortmund’s primary protagonists in their hard-fought victory over PSG.

Twelve successful dribbles by the end of the game for the Englishman is rather outstanding, especially in a Champions League quarterfinal.
Apart from his dribbles, Sancho also generated a couple of important chances for goals, which the Dortmund attackers finally failed to take advantage of.

Vinicius Junior, the star of Real Madrid, praised Jadon Sancho for his performance on the night shortly after Dortmund defeated PSG. “What a player,” Vinicius wrote in his Instagram comment on Sancho’s picture.
Even though they are competing in the same league as Real Madrid, Vinicius has previously given praise to players throughout Europe.
It emphasizes Vinicius’ self-assurance and his attitude to always appreciate sports. That may be the reason for the forward’s enormous success at Real Madrid, and he might be important for Los Blancos in next week’s second leg matchup with Bayern Munich.
