Newcastle Star Post Cryptic Message Amid Man United, West Ham Links

Newcastle United striker, Callum Wilson has posted a cryptic message on his social media as he step up his recovery from injury.

Wilson’s calf problem has kept him out of Newcastle’s last three games prior to their FA Cup trip to Fulham on Saturday. Eddie Howe, the head coach of the Magpies, has consistently stated that he anticipates Wilson to be fit for the trip to Aston Villa at the end of January.

Wilson shared a series of intriguing photos on Instagram on Thursday, captioning them with the hourglass and tornado emojis. The Newcastle centre-forward shared a number of pictures of himself in training and games, along with one of a Dubai sunset and the caption: “Don’t compare your life to others. There’s no comparison between the sun and the moon, they shine when it’s their time.”

Despite only making 10 starts for the Toon this season, Wilson has still managed to score eight goals, which is only surpassed by Alexander Isak’s 14.

According to The Shields Gazette, in recent weeks, transfer rumors linking the 31-year-old to a move away from St. James’ Park have surfaced. He is out of contract next summer.

While Wilson was back in the Premier League, inquiries from AC Milan and Atletico Madrid were declined.

There have also been reports of interest from West Ham United, Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea. Wilson said, “No,” when asked if he could clarify any of the rumors that have been floating around on the Footballer’s Football Podcast.

He added: “It’s January, the window’s open and there’s always speculation around players. Not just myself but with everybody else in the squad. I haven’t got much more to say than that.”
