Jose Mourinho has been accused of holding a grudge against Luke Shaw over his decision to reject a transfer to Chelsea two years ago, according to reports.
Shaw was wanted by Mourinho during his second stint in charge at Stamford Bridge but the England international opted to join Manchester United in a £30 million deal from Southampton.
And The Times claim that people close to the left-back suspect that decision could be the reason behind the Portuguese’s behaviour towards the 21-year-old this season.
Shaw was singled out by Mourinho for his part in Watford’s second goal in the 3-1 defeat at Vicarage Road in September.
The 21-year-old’s attitude was also questioned by the United manager following his alleged refusal to make himself available for the 3-1 victory over Swansea City earlier this month.
