Marcos Alonso reportedly ready to leave Chelsea and join Barcelona.

This summer, the 31-year-old has been linked with a move to Barcelona, along with Chelsea teammate Cesar Azpilicueta.

While Azpilicueta is expected to stay at Stamford Bridge, Alonso’s move has been made possible by the arrival of Marc Cucurella from Brighton & Hove Albion.

Alonso is said to have said his goodbyes to workers at Chelsea’s Cobham training base as he prepares to leave this weekend.

He has played more than 200 games for the Blues and has five major championships to his name after six years with the team.

The 31-year-old has a two-year contract in place and has already agreed to personal terms.
