Man United To Pay £115m for Real Madrid’s Eduardo Camavinga?

Manchester United are reportedly considering a big-money bid to sign Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga.

United have been revitalized on all fronts with the arrival of Erik ten Hag last year, having already won the EFL Cup to end their title drought.

After losing 7-0 to rivals Liverpool last weekend, the Red Devils are set to return to the Champions League, while they also hope to win the FA Cup and the Europa League.

Nonetheless, the club intends to strengthen in the summer transfer window, notably in central midfield, where there is seen to be a lack of depth.

Casemiro, Fred, and Christian Eriksen are seen to have long-term futures at Old Trafford, although Scott McTominay and Marcel Sabitzer are less certain.

McTominay is expected to be sold later in 2023, with Sabitzer’s loan from Bayern Munich not including a buy option for United.

Instead, according to Fichajes, United is ready to make an offer for Camavinga ahead of the 2023-24 season.

The Premier League heavyweights are reportedly willing to spend €130m (£115.67m) to persuade Los Blancos to sell one of their young players.

However, Real Madrid, are reported to be unwilling to sell the 20-year-old, who they see as a long-term replacement for the likes of Luka Modric and Toni Kroos.

Camavinga has made 40 of his 79 appearances as a substitute since joining from Rennes in August 2021.

All through 2022-23, a similar ratio has been maintained, however Carlo Ancelotti has occasionally called on Camavinga to deputize at left-back.

Camavinga’s versatility, combined with the fact that he has a contract until 2027, is likely to cause Real officials to reject any interest in signing him.
