Man United Show Intense Interest In Juventus Defender

Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Juventus defender, Gelson Bremer and they will launch a move in the summer transfer window.

The Red Devils will hold off on making any new signing until the end of the season to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations.

Since Raphael Varane’s contract is set to expire in June, the club’s hierarchy has made finding a replacement centre-back their top priority for the upcoming campaign.

According to CaughtOffside, Gianluca Di Marzio claimed in an interview on Sky Sports’ Transfer Talk, that United have been keeping a close eye on Bremer for several months. And they are showing a lot of interest in the Brazilian.
The Red Devils will most likely attempt to sign a new central defender in the summer.

Bremer has developed into one of the league’s top defenders in Italy. The 26-year-old has been performing admirably well for the Bianconeri this season. He has won five duels, 1.5 tackles, and more than four clearances in every Serie A game.

It might cost United more to sign him. Bremer signed a new, long-term deal with the Old Lady just last month. And the current deal with the team is set to expire in June 2028.

Juventus are back at the top of Serie A after three disappointing seasons. And they will be keen to hold onto their prized assets.

Even though Bremer is only valued at €50 million, it wouldn’t be shocking if the Bianconeri demanded as much as €70 million to let him depart.

Under the direction of new minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe, United want to bolster the team and sign players who can contend for trophies. One of their top priorities is central defence.
