Famous Arsenal fan Piers Morgan reckons Manchester City have turned the title tide around because of Pep Guardiola’s team’s victory over Liverpool.
The Cityzens faced the possibility of falling nine points behind Mikel Arteta’s team when they arrived in Anfield on February 8.
Dominik Szboszlai’s amazing free-kick even put Arne Slot’s team ahead. However, City secured a rare victory on the red side of Merseyside with a late penalty from Erling Haaland after Bernardo Silva’s header changed the course of play.
Since then, Arsenal have drawn their previous two games against Wolves and Brentford, with the former being a particularly significant collapse, while City easily defeated Fulham 3-0.
The Cityzens will close the deficit with Arsenal to two points if they win their game in hand.

Even though they had a 2-0 lead over Wolves, Arteta’s team appeared uneasy. Hugo Bueno’s fine strike and an injury time own goal from Riccardo Calafiori secured a shock draw for the Midlanders.
Morgan believes the drastic change in momentum can be linked to the dramatic outcome at Anfield, as City continue to rise and Arsenal falters.
Speaking on talkSPORT as quoted by Manchester Evening News, Morgan said: “I feared something like this may happen when City turned that game around against Liverpool.
“Had we been nine-points clear after that, that is clearly…you can still lose three games and win the league with a few games left, obviously you’re in a better position.
“You could see in City from Guardiola to Haaland to the others, they had a surge of renewed belief. Unfortunately, I think that sent, for our team, a surge of slight apprehension.”
