Liverpool Have ‘Agreement In Place’ To Sign Victor Osimhen

Liverpool and Victor Osimhen have already agreed on a future transfer.

That is the astounding assertion being made in Italy, where the great striker is on the verge of leaving Serie A. Osimhen was recently at the center of a feud between himself and his employers after Napoli’s TikTok account appeared to criticize him.

With The Mirror reporting that Mohamed Salah will “almost certainly” leave Liverpool next summer due to interest from Saudi Arabia, it appears that Liverpool is about to bring in a superstar forward to replace the Egyptian King – and attention has turned to last season’s Serie A top scorer, Osimhen.

According to Valter De Maggio of Televomero via TEAMtalk, a “agreement is in place” between Osimhen and the Reds ahead of a move next summer – albeit this could rely on a number of things.

It is more likely that basic terms have been discussed between the two parties as Jurgen Klopp contacts the Nigerian to see whether he is interested in a move – despite the fact that his profile does not completely match what the German is looking for in a Salah replacement.

At current, Liverpool have three main options at centre-forward, in the form of Cody Gakpo, Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota. All three have played on the left for Liverpool, too, but all three would favour that central berth, with each offering differing abilities to drop deep and link play.

Should Osimhen arrive at Anfield, it would likely not just limit another of Klopp’s central strikers but potentially push them out completely – while none of them are a natural fit for the right-wing position.

Osimhen is valued at €120m by Transfermarkt.
