Laliga Launch Inquiry Following A Child’s Alleged Racist Comment To Vini jr

Laliga have reportedly opened an investigation after a video of a child, who has allegedly ‘made a racist comment to Real Madrid winger Vinicius Jr emerged on social media.

The incident happened during the Laliga giants’ Saturday night 2-2 draw with Valencia, where the Brazilian scored twice in his first visit back to the Mestalla Stadium following last season’s racial abuse.

According to The Athletic as reported by Daily Mail, LaLiga are digging into a video that has surfaced online purportedly showing a child calling Vinicius a monkey, .

The report noted that the woman, who recorded the video allegedly stated that police were summoned during the game.

At the Mestalla stadium the previous season, the forward had been subjected to monkey chants.

In addition, Vinicius received a red card for acting violently during that game, but the dismissal was later overturned.

A fine of £39,000 was imposed on Valencia for the mistreatment of the Madrid star. And the stadium was to be closed for five games.

Los Blancos forward scored his first goal against Valencia on Saturday and then sent a defiant message. He lifted his fist to the sky and faced the row of supporters who had insulted the forward during his previous game at the Mestalla.

Additionally, he uploaded two images of himself on X (formerly Twitter) with the caption, which was translated, ‘The fight goes on.’
