Kenny Tete Should Be Considered By Ajax For A January Transfer

In the January transfer window, Ajax ought to think about making an attempt to reunite with Fulham to bring Kenny Tete back to the team.

According to Ali Boussaboun, a former striker who is now an analyst has identified the Fulham defender as a possible target as Ajax plans a rebuild.

After joining Fulham for €3.2 million from Lyon in September 2020, Tete has become an important member of the first team, especially under Marco Silva.

He has only made five appearances in the Premier League thus far, accounting for 37% of the available minutes, and has been sidelined by injury this season.

According to Sport Witness, the Dutch defender appears to have been replaced by Timothy Castagne, who joined Fulham in the summer transfer window for €13 million from Leicester.

Tete might be able to make a move as a result, and Boussaboun believes the defender should go back to Ajax, where he spent 12 years of his career laboring his way up from the youth ranks into the first team.

Before departing for Lyon in 2017, he went on to make 55 appearances for the first team, and Boussaboun believes a reunion would be successful.

“Something really needs to be done at the back position,” he added.

“I don’t understand why they didn’t bring Tagliafico back earlier. Kenny Tete is also a good option. He is fast, strong and can play nice football.

“But I would rather go for a talent. That’s where Ajax stands. also known for. That’s the reason they’ve made hundreds of millions.”
