Keane Asked If He’s ‘Smoking Weed’ Following Brutal Comments On Haaland

JJ Watt, Burnley co-owner and a former NFL defensive lineman, questioned Roy Keane, Manchester United legend about his recent remarks regarding Erling Haaland, asking if he was ‘smoking weed.’

After Manchester City’s 0-0 draw with Arsenal last month, Keane cruelly said that Haaland’s overall play was like that of a ‘League Two player.’ This made Pep Guardiola lash out and defend his star striker.

According to The Mirror, after Watt questioned Keane’s position on the Stick to Football podcast with “League Two striker? Were you smoking weed?”. The Irishman has since intensified his criticism of the Norwegian talisman.

Keane, though, stood by his comments and insisted: “I don’t know what the big deal is, I give Erling Haaland praise every week, I give Manchester City praise, and I think he’s an amazing striker. But his general play is that of a League Two player.”
