Host Of Premier League Clubs In Talks To Sign Brazilian Play-maker

Raphael Veiga, a playmaker for Palmeiras who David Beckham prefers, has entered negotiations with Arsenal, Chelsea, Wolves, and Fulham ahead of the summer transfer window. Beckham’s Inter Miami made an offer for Veiga back in 2021, Goal claim.

The 27-year-old is well-known in Brazilian football. He has been a key player for Palmeiras since he arrived in 2016 and has contributed from midfield, 89 goals in 203 appearances. Amidst netting 10 goals in 41 games while on loan at Atletico Paranaense.

He has five goals and five assists in just 11 games for his present team so far in the 2023 Brazilian campaign. In fact, European teams are starting to show interest, particularly those from the Premier League.

According to the source, the maestro is desired by Arsenal, Chelsea, Wolves, and Fulham. How much he is going to cost this summer is still undisclosed.

However, according to UOL, Beckham’s Inter Miami made a £10 million offer to acquire him in 2021.

Since Inter Miami’s offer was rejected, the price is probably higher now. In fact, the talented midfielder is under contract with the Brazilian team through the 2025-2026 season. But the Premier League’s attraction will put his commitment to the test.

The player is yet to be capped by his country, Brazil. So, a move to the Premier League will boost his chances of earning a call-up to the national team.

He might find it difficult to walk in straight to the starting XI of Arsenal if he decides to join the team. He would face similar problem at Chelsea also.

Both Fulham and Wolves are ideal destinations for the midfielder. But the quality present in those teams might not attract the player. Hence, he might reject the teams if they come with an offer.
