Fernandes The Hero As Man United Beat Southampton

Bruno Fernandes scored as Manchester United defeated Southampton 1-0 on Saturday to earn their second consecutive Premier League victory in a row.

In the second half of the match at Southampton, Fernandes completed an excellent United move to give his team the lead. The Red Devils managed to hold out for the three points, winning by a slim margin.

On Monday, United impressively defeated Liverpool 2-1 to kick off the week. Despite a lackluster first half against the Saints today, they were able to put their losses to Brighton and Brentford behind them by winning their second straight game.

Meanwhile, new signing Casemiro was brought on in the second half to make his United debut although it was a brief appearance. Red Devils fans will be eager to see him involved from the start in their next game.

On Thursday, Ten Hag’s squad will play again when they take on Leicester at the King Power Stadium in an effort to make it three straight victories in the league.

Speaking after the match, Ten Hag said: “I saw a team on the pitch, good organisation, fight for each other, and I think there were also some really good moments from playing football,

“There is a lot of room for improvement, that’s quite clear, but for me that is normal.”

The win sees United end a run of seven consecutive away defeats in the Premier League and extends their unbeaten streak against Southampton at St Mary’s to 15 games in all competitions.
