Declan Rice Should Consider Joining Arsenal or Chelsea – Danny Murphy

Danny Murphy thinks Declan Rice will be prudent to consider about a summer transfer to either Chelsea FC or Arsenal.

The 24-year-old midfielder has played 26 Premier League games for West Ham United this season, contributing to  assists and scoring two goals.

Rice has also been solidifying himself as a regular member of the England squad. The midfielder made five World Cup appearances and played the entire 90 minutes in the Three Lions’ most recent victories. Which is against Italy and Ukraine in the Euros qualifying rounds.

Future speculation regarding Rice is not brand-new. In recent weeks, Rice has been extensively connected to make move to Arsenal during the summer transfer window. The midfielder has also long been mentioned as a potential target for Chelsea FC.

Former England and Liverpool FC midfielder, Murphy thinks Rice should try to leave the London Stadium this summer. And he thinks Arsenal and Chelsea FC would be good options for him.

Declan Rice needs to leave West Ham, Murphy spoke with daily mail.

It’s been difficult for him to retain his best form on a side that doesn’t keep the ball or play as well in big games. So ideally he would have left last summer.

what did Danny Murphy also say:

“He’s 100 per cent ready to move to the next level and at 24 won’t want to wait any longer for Champions League football.

“Arsenal would be a great option and I think he’d be an automatic starter. The lure of Chelsea is also strong, having grown up supporting the club and playing in their academy”.

According to a source on Friday, Chelsea FC is still interested in the midfielder, but Arsenal are now leading the battle to sign him.

The same report also stated that Rice has turned down several contract extensions from West Ham. And is focused on joining a team that will compete in the Champions League next season.

Rice’s current contract with the Hammers has a 12-month extension clause and is set to expire in the summer of 2024.
