Chelsea Stars Are ‘Not Happy With Enzo Fernandez’ As Dressing Room Behavior Causes Issues

Chelsea players have reportedly been dissatisfied with Enzo Fernandez’s leadership during the club’s current dismal run of form. Following Chelsea’s Champions League defeat to Paris Saint-Germain, the Argentine midfielder, who is vice-captain at Stamford Bridge, questioned his own future with the club.

When asked if he could ensure his future at Chelsea, he replied: “I don’t know – there are eight games left and the FA Cup.” There is the World Cup, and then we will see.”

In January 2023, the former Benfica midfielder joined for Chelsea for a then-British record fee of £106.8 million, after only six months in Portugal.

Since then, he has made 161 appearances in all competitions for the Blues, establishing himself as a significant player both on and off the pitch.

However, his current behavior has apparently irritated his teammates. The 25-year-old was also witnessed berating his own teammates on the pitch after Chelsea suffered four consecutive defeats.

According to the Telegraph, Fernandez has been vociferous in the locker room following defeats against PSG, Newcastle, and Everton.

During the 5-2 defeat against PSG at the Parc des Princes, he targeted goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen, who was responsible for several of the goals.

Glen Hoddle, on commentary duty for TNT Sports, stated, “Fernandez is having a right go at him.”

“He is one of the captains at the club and what I will say is that he made it really clear how happy he is here at this club, how much he wants to win and how passionate he is for us to be successful.

“He also stated that things are misconstrued in translation and emotion, but for me, he is completely committed to this group and to winning here at this football club.
