Chelsea Could Offer Three Players In Intriguing Toney Transfer Swap

Chelsea are reportedly believed to do all they can to sign Brentford striker, Ivan Toney when the summer transfer window.

In line with this, it has been stated that the Blues could offer three players to the Bees in order to seal the signing of the talismanic forward ahead of the 2024/25 season.

Lack of a focal point up front has been a major factor in Chelsea’s below-par displays this season. And Toney is widely considered as the Blues’ best option.

Even though the England forward was kept on by the Bees in January, manager Thomas Frank acknowledged that it will be difficult to keep him beyond the summer transfer window.

“It is relatively obvious that Ivan Toney will probably be sold this summer,” Frank admitted.

“It can be ‘expensive’ to sell your best player, but conversely I also know that this summer he only has one year left on his contract with us.

“We also know what he is worth. I don’t think there are many strikers in the world who are better than him right now.”

According to the Daily Express, Chelsea might consider offering Armando Broja, Trevoh Chalobah and David Datro Fofana to Brentford in order to reduce the amount of money they will have to spend on the 27-year-old striker.

It has also been reported that Toney is of interest to Arsenal and Tottenham. Chelsea may be at a disadvantage financially, and the London-based outfit must be aware of the Premier League’s sustainability and profitability regulations.
