Barcelona Midfielder Out For A Month Due To Dislocated Shoulder

Barcelona have reportedly confirmed that playmaker Dani Olmo will be out for a month due to a dislocated shoulder, following his substitution against Atletico Madrid.

“First team player Dani Olmo suffered a dislocation in his left shoulder during yesterday’s match against Atletico Madrid,” the statement from the club read.

“Following the tests carried out, a conservative treatment has been chosen. The approximate recovery time is one month.”

Olmo began against Atletico and showed up in fantastic form, even scoring the goal that put Barcelona in lead in the second half.

The Spain international, however, hit his shot while unbalanced and fell hard to the ground, falling on his shoulder. He sought medical assistance afterwards.

Ferran Torres took Olmo’s place on the pitch after he was unable to continue due to severe pain.

Now, it has been revealed that he has sustained a dislocated shoulder. Barça have decided against surgery in favour of conservative treatment, and they anticipate that the player will be sidelined for a month.

As such, the 27-year-old will miss the forthcoming games against Real Betis, Eintracht Frankfurt, Osasuna, and Villarreal. Whether he recovers in time for the January 2026 Spanish Super Cup is still up in the air.
