Arsenal In Pole Position To Sign Striker As Transfer Ban Will Stop Man United

Arsenal are reportedly in the driver’s seat to sign Newcastle United Striker, Alexander Isak this summer after their latest interest in the talismanic forward.

The Newcastle striker has previously been linked to Manchester United. But a deal for the forward may not go through anytime soon.

It’s no secret that Mikel Arteta is eager to sign a striker this summer. And he is keeping a number of stars in mind. Brentford star, Ivan Toney and Napoli’s Victor Osimhen have both been strongly linked to a move to the Emirates Stadium. Bologna striker, Joshua Zirkzee as well as Sporting Lisbon forward, Viktor Gyökeres are also possibilities.

But Arsenal, who have long admired Isak, might be persuaded to try luring the Sweden international away from St James’ Park at the end of the season.

The former Real Sociedad player never fails to dazzle Tyneside with his tactical and positional versatility.

According to rumors circulating, Newcastle are preparing for a fire sale in order to comply with financial regulations, which gives the Gunners assurance in their pursuit.

Arsenal won’t be acting alone in their interest, though, if Isak is placed in the shop window.

Man United have also been linked to the 25-year-old who has been a key player for the Magpies this season.

However, according to Daily Express, Newcastle are looking to place a transfer ban on United from pursuing a deal for any of their players as part of negotiation for Dan Ashworth.

United’s minority owner, Sir Jim Ratcliffe is set to appoint the 53-year-old as the club’s sporting director, Though, a deal is not near as Newcastle are reluctant and holding firm on their valuation of the ex-Brighton chief.
