The 21-year-old has scored seven goals this season, but only one in the Premier League.

His struggles were highlighted during Chelsea’s 3-0 defeat at Everton, when he replaced Malo Gusto at half-time but failed to make an impact.

Everton Take Aim On Social Media

Everton posted a clip on TikTok showing Garnacho being muscled off the ball and falling after minor contact, captioned: “Not everything is nice at Hill Dickinson Stadium…”

The video added to growing scrutiny of the young forward’s form since his move to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea head coach Liam Rosenior explained the rationale behind introducing Garnacho, citing the need for extra attacking options:

“We had chances… We wanted to make a positive change at half-time and get an extra winger on the pitch.”

Despite the substitution, Chelsea struggled to influence the game, conceding twice after Garnacho’s introduction, reports Manchester Evening News.

Rosenior acknowledged the wider context of the club’s difficulties, including four consecutive defeats across all competitions and elimination from the Champions League.

Garnacho’s move from United has so far failed to live up to expectations, with the Argentine forward needing to rediscover confidence and consistency if he is to make a significant impact at Chelsea in the remainder of the 2025/26 season.
