Real Madrid has only made one major move in the upcoming January transfer window, allowing Endrick to go on loan and join Olympique Lyon.
The 19-year-old youngster is already thriving in France, having scored four goals and provided an assist in only three outings, including a stunning hat-trick this weekend.
Real Madrid puzzled by lack of game time under Alonso
Real Madrid continue to be perplexed by Endrick’s lack of opportunities under former manager Xabi Alonso, despite his promising start at Lyon and previous performances, according to Mario Cortegana of The Athletic.
Despite returning from injury in September, the Brazilian international appeared in only three matches during the first half of the season, totaling 99 minutes on the field.

Alonso saw Kylian Mbappe as his definitive starter in the No. 9 position and seldom rotated the French superstar, which contributed to Endrick’s diminished prominence.
Nonetheless, it is strange that the youngster was not given more opportunities to show himself and gain a larger role on the team.
It spurred Endrick to seek a loan move to Lyon, where he is currently demonstrating his quality and promise.
As per the report, the 19-year-old gem’s objective remains to return to Real Madrid and succeed at the club.
However, he also wants genuine opportunities at the club to establish himself, and if they do not come, Endrick’s camp will explore all possibilities, including another loan deal or a permanent leave with a repurchase provision.
