Following his impressive performance for Barcelona in the Champions League, Xavi has stated that Ousmane Dembele is level with “the best Neymar.”
In their decisive 5-1 victory over Viktoria Plzen in their Champions League opener, Dembele assisted two goals for his team.

His boss, Xavi, lavished praise on him after the impressive performance, comparing him to PSG star Neymar, who played at Camp Nou from 2013 to 2017.
Following the signing of a new deal with Barca in the summer, Dembele has been operating at full capacity since the start of the 2022ā23 season.
The Frenchman, who has made five appearances in all competitions has one goal and four assists to his credit. He also appears to have put the injury issues that previously plagued his Camp Nou career behind him.

Speaking after the match, Xavi said: “He (Dembele) is happy, he provides assists, he makes a difference. He is a dagger down the flank and he is being decisive. I have seen few players with that ability in one on one.”
“He is at the level of the best Neymar. He had suffered a lot in recent years and he deserves what he is now.
“There is no pure winger who can come out on both sides like he does.”
