He stated: “It’s much easier when I feel like the team is rooting for me and wants to believe in me. It was very enjoyable for me to feel that the team was truly committed, and it gets much easier after that.

It feels pretty good right now, but I’m not sure what that will mean in the long run.”

According to Express, Alonso recently said that continuing in his current position was the right choice because there is still work to be done at Leverkusen, despite rumors that he is being linked to other teams.

Alonso Decides On Future At Bayer Leverkusen

“Last week I had a meeting [with club officials] and informed them of the decision to continue being coach of Bayer Leverkusen,” said the coach.

“After having numerous conversations about my future, I took the break to think things through and decide. As a young coach, I believe this is the ideal place for me to be. My tenure at Bayer continues.

I want to support the team and the players’ growth. The board is excellent, and everything about this place is wonderful.”

One of the clubs where Alonso used to play is expected to eventually hand him the reins. Jurgen Klopp must be replaced by Liverpool and Thomas Tuchel’s successor is being sought by Bayern.
