Working With Ancelotti At Real Madrid Is “Wonderful”, Antonio Rudiger Says

According to Antonio Rudiger, Carlo Ancelotti is “untouchable” and he credits him for facilitating an easy transition for him from Chelsea to Real Madrid.

After his contract at Stamford Bridge expired in the summer, the Germany international joined the Champions League champions as a free agent.

Rudiger had initially hoped to extend his five year spell in west London. However, Chelsea were unable to offer him fresh terms under the terms of the license they were forced to operate under following the UK government’s decision to sanction Roman Abramovich.

Real saw an opening and were able to sign the former Roma center-half on a free transfer.

What Did Rudiger Say About Ancelotti?

Rudiger has only made four starts for his new team so far, but he admits that Ancelotii’s personal touch is unlike anything he has encountered in his career.

He said to German outlet Sport1: ‘I had only been in our new house with my family for a few hours. We were just barbecuing, and the doorbell suddenly rang.

‘I opened it and Carlo Ancelotti was just standing in front of me. A wow moment. He sat down at the table with us, ate with us and got to know my family.

‘Very normal, very down-to-earth. He was there for two hours, we talked about everything.

‘I’ll be honest, I’ve never experienced anything like it, no coach has ever done something like that for me. After the few months with him,

‘I have to say when it comes to dealing with players, Ancelotti is untouchable. Stop Don Carlo, a coaching legend – he already collected Champions League titles when I was a child.

‘Working with him every day now and at the most successful club in the world is wonderful.’
