Wolves Game With Chelsea Confirmed For Christmas Eve

Wolves Game With Chelsea Confirmed For Christmas Eve

Wolves will play on Christmas Eve for the first time in 57 years after their clash with Chelsea was moved for TV.

The Express & Star reported last week that the Premier League has scheduled the game for December 24, marking the first time an English top division game had been scheduled for that day since 1995.

Fans of both clubs were outraged by the proposed proposal, which would force Wolves and Chelsea followers to choose between football and their families.

Both teams’ supporters’ trusts, as well as the Football Supporters’ Association, have spoken out against the plans.

Despite the outpouring of rage, the Premier League has finally announced the swap, with Wolves hosting Wolves at Molineux at 1pm, live on Sky Sports.

It will be the first time Wolves have played on Christmas Eve since 1966, when they beat Derby 5-3.

As a result of that move, Wolves now not play on Boxing Day, with their trip to Brentford moved to December 27 at 7.30pm, on Amazon Prime.

The December 30 home game against Everton has not been rescheduled, meaning Wolves will play three Premier League games in six days.

Other adjustments include the home game against Burnley being moved to 7.30pm on December 5 for Amazon Prime, and the trip to West Ham being shifted to 2pm on December 17 for Sky Sports.

Furthermore, the trip to Brighton has been rescheduled for Monday, January 22 at 7.45 p.m. on TNT Sports.

A date for Manchester United’s visit at the end of January has yet to be set.
