Wilfried Bony has questioned Stoke City‘s decision to take him on-loan this season after criticising manager Mark Hughes for his lack of playing time.
The Ivorian international has played only 10 minutes in the Premier League for the Potters in 2017 after they took him on a season-long loan in August from Manchester City.
However, since his arrival at the Bet365 stadium, Bony has made only nine league starts and one substitute appearance, scoring two goals.
He has been left out of the squad for the last four games running (although he was not eligible for the last game against his parent club) and has once again vented his frustration.
Talking to KCTV, The 28-year-old has admitted that his relationship with Mark Hughes is “not good”.
Bony said: “it’s a crazy situation – I’m not playing for no reason.
“Two times I went to him and he said my attitude was good and I train well. But I’m not playing, it makes no sense.
“Why did I come here? I’m on-loan, and if I don’t play for no reason of course I wish I’d gone on-loan to another Premier League club”.
The former Swansea man has a clause in his contract allowing him to go to a Chinese club and was the subject of interest from some Super League club’s over the January transfer window.
Asked whether he wished he had gone, he said: “I don’t regret it. I love English football, I want to stay here so at the moment for me English football is more important.”
This is not the first time Bony has made his frustrations clear. Last month he also questioned Mark Hughes’ decision making.
