West Ham Have No Plans To Sack Under-Fire David Moyes

West Ham United reportedly have plans to sack manager David Moyes, despite another disappointing week for the club.

After two seasons of European qualification, the Hammers were expected to compete for a top-seven finish in the Premier League rankings.

West Ham currently sits in 16th place, one point above the relegation zone, with only 23 points from 25 games.

It was suggested that if West Ham lost to Nottingham Forest at the end of last month, Moyes would be sacked.

West Ham won that game 4-0, with all four goals coming in the closing quarter, but losses followed at Manchester United in the FA Cup and Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League.

After conceding at Old Trafford on Wednesday night, The Hammers replicated same effort on Saturday, losing 4-0, prompting supporters to call for Moyes’ dismissal.

The Scot stated after the game that, while the reaction was justified, he urged fans to keep rooting for his squad at this critical stage of the season.

According to the Daily Mail, West Ham will play those games with Moyes still in charge, since the club’s management has no plans to change.

As per the report, the veteran manager has the board’s support at least until the international break later this month.

West Ham have only three Premier League games left, one of which being a home match against Aston Villa, with a trip to Manchester City postponed due to their opponents’ FA Cup involvement.

On either side of the Villa game,  The Hammers will face AEK Larnaca in the last 16 of the Europa Conference League.

Moyes’ side will enter Thursday’s first leg in Cyprus having won all eight of their games in the tournament during 2022-23.
