Tottenham Star Ready To Be Loaned Out During Summer Transfer Window

According to renowned Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Alejo Veliz will not join Tottenham Hotspur for the 2024/25 season.

The North London club has decided to part ways with the 20-year-old attacking prospect on a loan deal during the summer transfer window due to his struggles at La Liga club Sevilla.

Alejo Veliz was born in Godeken and spent the majority of his childhood there. During his youth career, he attended three clubs’ academies before graduating from the Rosario Central youth division.

The Argentine prospect’s progress in his home country drew interest from several prestigious European clubs before Tottenham signed him last summer as reported by Hard Tackle

However, the 20-year-old saw little action in the first half of the 2023/24 season, totaling only 45 minutes in eight Premier League appearances and scoring once. It was clear that he was a player for the future when Tottenham signed him as a long-term replacement for Harry Kane during the summer transfer window.

Tottenham tried to sign Veliz on a loan as the winter transfer window drew near in order to give him regular playing time and help him continue to advance.

A number of clubs expressed interest in him before Sevilla called and secured his services.

Alejo Veliz has not played much for the team since the transfer, so the move hasn’t been successful. In his three games, he has only managed 23 minutes of playing time.

It is therefore not possible to return to Sevilla during the summer transfer window.

In order to help Veliz reach his full potential and become a regular at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Tottenham will look to arrange another loan agreement. The North London club will look to secure game time for the 20-year-old attacking prospect before reaching a final agreement.
