Tottenham Register Interest In Chelsea’s Hakim Ziyech

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing 30-year-old Chelsea star Hakim Ziyech ahead of next season.

The 30-year-old struggled to establish a regular starting spot at Stamford Bridge under Thomas Tuchel or Graham Potter and was on the verge of leaving on loan during the January transfer window.

Paris Saint-Germain were planning on bringing the Morocco international to Ligue 1on deadline day, and he had already gone to the French capital in expectation of a loan deal.

However, administrative problems caused the deal to fall through at the last minute, and Ziyech returned to Chelsea for the remainder of the season after PSG’s LFP appeal was denied.

It remains to be seen whether the ex-Ajax man can rekindle his Blues career under Frank Lampard, but he was left out of the team for the weekend loss at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Ziyech has now failed to make Chelsea’s matchday squad for their previous four Premier League games, and he is expected to be one of the first names on the chopping block this summer.

According to Football Insider, Tottenham have reportedly expressed interest in the 30-year-old as they look to strengthen their attacking lineups, but PSG are reportedly prepared to make another bid for his services.

PSG are believed to be Ziyech’s favourite choice right now, following his unsuccessful January transfer, as Les Parisiens prepare for the likely departure of Lionel Messi at the end of the season.

Ziyech has 14 goals and 11 assists in 102 games for Chelsea since his arrival in 2020, but he has only set up one goal in 19 matches in all competitions this season.
