Tottenham ‘Reach Full Agreement To Sign’ Serie A Star Defender

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly reached an agreement to sign Genoa defender, Radu Dragusin on a permanent basis.

It has been known that the North Londoners are looking to add a new center-back since the start of the January transfer window.

Dragusin, a Romanian international who has been starring for Genoa since joining the Serie A side in the summer, became their top target swiftly.

The initial belief was that, should they proceed with settling on a fee with their Italian counterparts, Spurs would sign the 21-year-old.

But Dragusin’s agent openly stated that his client intends on staying in Genoa for the duration of the campaign, if not longer.

However, rumors have surfaced in recent days about Bayern Munich’s rival interest. This month, they hope to bolster their lineup with the addition of a fourth prominent center-back.

Although, Spurs’ Eric Dier has been linked to the German strongholds, Dragusin is a younger, more promising option that might end up being more appealing in the long run.

Florian Plettenburg, a journalist for Sky Sport Deutschland, claims that Bayern have turned into outsiders to close a deal for Dragusin.

According to SportMole, Tottenham and Genoa have reached an agreement on a fee. With Spurs agreeing to pay €25 million (£21.49 million) plus add-ons giving the player a five-and-a-half-year contract.

In order to bring in competition for Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven, Ange Postecoglou will now be hoping that the North Londoners’ hierarchy can finalize a deal in due course.

Plettenberg further stated that Bayern believe they have to match Spurs’ offer on Tuesday, or else they will have to watch Dragusin complete his move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
