Top Premier League Clubs Interested In Signing Barcelona Star

Manchester United and Liverpool are “pushing” hard this summer to sign Barcelona star Mikayil Faye.

The 19-year-old, who joined the Catalan giants last summer, has made a name for himself this season as a vital member of Barcelona Atlettic.

The Senegalese player was called up to the national team during the March international break after showing flashes of his abilities in Rafael Marquez’s starting lineup, and he made his debut for Senegal by scoring a goal.

The defender has yet to make his debut but he has already established himself as a regular member of Xavi Hernandez’s first team after some impressive recent performances.

Thanks to his impressive recent performances, Faye’s service is in high demand across Europe; Man Utd and Liverpool are two of the clubs that have expressed interest.

Man Utd is interested in signing Faye and they have already begun “pushing” hard to get his services in the upcoming window, according to the Mundo Deportivo report.

But according to Football Talk, AS Monaco, LOSC Lille, and Bayern Munich have all indicated interest in hiring him and Liverpool is reportedly also eager to sign him. The Red Devils will therefore have fierce competition from their rivals to close any possible deal for him.

Additionally, Barcelona is preparing for their future with Faye because they don’t want to lose their star player. Therefore, in order to convince the Blaugrana to cash in on the African, Man Utd or Liverpool will need to make a sizable offer.

Liverpool And Man Utd ‘Tag’ Faye As A Potential Defender

This summer will see the signing of new defenders by both Liverpool and Manchester United to bolster their defenses. Faye is one of the many names that have been floated as possible targets.

The Barcelona star is a gifted player with a lot of untapped potential, so if either team decides to acquire him, he might be a wise long-term investment for Man Utd or Liverpool.

It will be interesting to watch, though, if the Merseyside club or the record Premier League winners decide to make a serious move to sign Faye this summer in order to bolster their defense.
